About Melissa

My name is Melissa Barone and I am a wife, a mother of two smart and active boys, and a Realtor! I grew up in Troy, NY, spent a majority of my college years in New York City and a semester abroad in Italy, came back to live in Colonie for 15+ years, and moved into the Burnt Hills community in 2018 with my husband and two young boys. I bring into my Real Estate business not only my own uniquely difficult personal home buying experience, but over 14 years of Property & Casualty/Life & Health insurance expertise, 10 years successfully running a global botanically based skincare health and wellness business and team, and 2+ years of television commercial advertising and event planning experience.

I have alongside my career pursuits, spent many years volunteering my time as President of my children's school PTA, President of WINC (a Women Owned Business Networking Group), President of the Colonie Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador Committee as well as an active participant in many of their other committees and groups. Whenever possible, I like to donate my time and give back to local charities and causes that are near and dear to me. I have been a consistent and active participant in The Morning of Kindness, an event that takes place every Christmas Eve throughout the Albany, Latham, and Clifton Park areas.

My professional and volunteerism background has allowed me to build relationships with so many Capital District business owners, professionals, and residents which has allowed me to become a super connector, a multitasking ninja, a creatively savvy marketer, caring and empathetic, yet detailed, focused, and fiercely determined. For fun I enjoy reading, writing, drawing, dancing, working out, anything baseball, being by the water, traveling, and spending time with family and friends making amazing memories!
